How to Measure a Recurve Bowstring
AMO Standards of the past would call for a 4" shorter string when measuring from end tip to end tip on bows made before the year 2000. And on bows made after the year 2000 strings would be 3" shorter from end tip to end tip. EXAMPLE for a 2000 or newer model recurve bow, when measured from tip to tip the bow measures 65" so you would need a 62" string.
